Noctular® lenses were first introduced in 1994. The base material is polycarbonate. A layer of polarizing film is laminated between two layers of polycarbonate and then thermoformed into an optical quality lens. A double thickness scratch resistant coating is then applied to both the front and the back surfaces. The result is the lightest weight, most impact resistant, optical quality lens in the sunglass market.

Noctular® series lenses have maximum polarization and filter all UVA and UVB wavelengths.
